There really are too many benefits to list! To name a few: Fitness, Confidence, Mental health, Self-Discipline, and arguably the biggest thing most people find is its ability to make you comfortable being uncomfortable. Then there is always the community you join as a member of the Fresh Wave Jiu Jitsu family.
BJJ is unlike any other martial art. You can perform your rolls at any intensity to suit your own ability, whether it be 10% or 100% the likelihood of injury is low when compared to other martial arts. Rolling is about improving your technique and rather than beating your opponent. To ensure rolling is as safe as possible, you can stop at any time just by tapping on your training partner and the round will completely stop. One of the first things you will be taught is to tap early and tap often!
